Green oak

Green (Freshly sawn) oak is a popular choice of timber for construction and many outdoor projects because of its rustic charm and excellent durability. The term 'Green' oak indicates it has a higher moister content than Kiln dried oak hence its predominant use outdoors.


At L.J.Roberts Timber we can have our Green oak stock cut to the specific size you require. 

Air dried oak

We offer a wide range of air dried English oak structural beams and posts. Our air dried oak has been air dried for 3-8 years producing a natural aged appearance, whilst adding character cracks and splits to beams. Please note that due to the drying process, the air dried beams are likely to have a little sap and a few historic bore holes; adding character to a new build or a restoration project,
